Hi, I’m Nikayla:
A twenty something Leo
from Las Vegas, Nevada who
attended Virginia State University,
earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in
Mechanical Engineering Technology and
pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
later joining the Army National Guard.
I grew up in the ‘in-between’ era,
where childhood consisted of
playgrounds and cell phones.
My love for aesthetics began with
drawings and MySpace backgrounds,
blooming into Pinterest mood boards.
I have a deep appreciation for
simplicity with intentional details.
Minimalism, calligraphy,
and design speak to my soul.
In 2021, I felt called to create
an online space.
Somewhere I could cultivate
every detail to express myself.

Via Calore translated means
“through methods of heat,
warmth, passion or enthusiasm.”
Via Calore is both the sun in the sky
and the warmth and joy in one’s heart.
My style of writing has
grown to be poetic, lucid,
and deeply insightful—
a sharing of reflections
and a showing of reverence
to life, love, God.
Parallel to life and self,
this space is a work in progress.
A living piece,
a never ending project.
